'Bama's 2 Min Drill is Still Impressive!

Last week against Arkansas, the Tide drove 73 yards on nine plays in 2:05 to score the winning touchdown with eight seconds remaining. This time it was 10 plays, 88 yards in 3:35, but Alabama left the door open for Georgia to attempt a game-winning field goal. The surprising statistic from the drive was that Wilson only completed two passes, the 43-yard bomb to Brown, and an 8-yard completion, also to Brown.

Grant, Coffee and sophomore Roy Upchurch all had carries during the possession, with Upchurch, who was on the field in obvious passing situations, taking two handoffs for 19 yards. Alabama also had a 2-minute drive at the end of the first half, traveling 46 yards on seven plays for a field goal. Those two possessions accounted for 39 percent of Alabama’s total offense (349 yards).
