'Bama Nose Tackle Brian Motley practiced Tuesday

Alabama nose tackle Brian Motley practiced Tuesday, a sign he could be available for Saturday's 4 p.m. game against Florida State.

Motley worked in contact drills with the rest of the defensive linemen, showing no ill effects from the broken left ankle that caused him to miss Alabama's first four games. He was without a black, no-contact jersey for the first time since suffering the injury four days before the season opener against Western Carolina.

Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban said last week that Motley would probably return to practice, but wouldn't be ready for "football-type work" until after this weekend's game against the Seminoles.
