John Parker Wilson - Injured?

Junior quarterback John Parker Wilson was obviously hobbling on his left ankle (or foot) was after taking a hit on the 27-yard reception to junior tight end Nick Walker with 12:09 remaining in the third quarter. At that point, he was 12 of 17 for 131 yards and two touchdowns. From then on, he went 3-for-10 with an interception and 26 yards. The injury didn’t seem to really start nagging him until the Tide’s first possession of the fourth quarter. On the first play, an opposing player landed right on his ankle/foot, and two plays later another piled on late on the quarterback sneak, again on the sensitive area. Wilson seemed to aggravate it a final time on the first play of the following possession, when he took a 1-yard sack. Wilson was 2-for-9 on third downs, resulting in just one first down, and completed his only pass in the red zone, the 10-yard gain that made senior DJ Hall the Tide’s all-time receptions leader. Three passes were deflected at the line. Also of note, Alabama changed its cadence. While the Tide was called for two false starts (Smith and Walker), and Houston twice for being offside, it clearly gave the Cougars some problems.
